What's an IMEI & where do I find it?

The IMEI is your phone's unique 15-digit ID — like a VIN number on a car. Carrier unlocks are registered against this exact number, so we can't check or unlock your phone without it. It stays private.

  • Fastest way: open the phone's dial pad and type *#06# — the IMEI appears instantly, no call needed.
  • iPhone: Settings → General → About → scroll down to IMEI.
  • Android: Settings → About phone → IMEI.
  • Phone won't turn on? The IMEI is printed on the SIM tray and on the original box label.
